Product Review: Method Cleaning Products
Method “tub + tile” soap scum and stain remover lives up the expectations that you might hold for a much harsher chemical version. Scented with eucalyptus and mint, this spray is available in a 28 fluid ounce spray bottle and cuts through soap scum and dirt with just a wipe of a sponge. Not only does it leave the bathroom smelling like a spa, it keeps harsh chemicals where they belong: out of your house. I have successfully used this cleaner on all porcelain and hard surfaces in our bathrooms. It does a good job cleaning the exposed portions of the toilet bowl and lids, as well as the sink surface. A swipe once a week with the “tub + tile” has been sufficient for keeping the grime at bay.
Method “window wash” is also a very handy alternative to ammonia filled glass and surface cleaners. The window wash handily cleaned my mirrors and windows with no streaking. The window wash also doubles well as a surface cleaner, and leaves behind a nice, clean minty scent. The window was also comes in a 28 fluid ounce spray bottle. All of method’s products are scented with essential oils, so the fragrances are very clean and last without being overpowering.
Method’s “all purpose surface cleaner” is available in three scents: cucumber, red grapefruit, and French lavender. French lavender is my choice and this surface cleaner powers through grease in my kitchen without leaving behind a trail of toxic chemicals. In fact, my kitchen smells so clean and fresh after I spray and swipe with the surface cleaner that I wonder why I didn’t try this formula sooner. It is safe for the kitchen, kid’s rooms, bathroom, wherever, and it smells wonderful! The surface cleaner comes in a 28 fluid ounce spray bottle.
Despite the wonderful offerings of the rest of the method line the “wood for good” wood polish absolutely takes the cake. In my opinion, this is truly the stand out product of the whole bunch. Method “wood for good” comes packaged in a 12 fluid ounce spray bottle and is formulated with fragrant almond oil. The package instructs you to sprits the wood polish directly on the wood surface and then to buff in with a soft cloth. Method “wood for good” conditions and cleans without leaving behind a waxy residue. Not only did my home smell delightful after using this spray, the wood furniture glowed in a way that I had not seen it glow since it was new. If you try any method product, let this be the one.
