Product Review: Pledge Stainless Steel Wipes
When I opened the package, the first thing I noticed was the scent. They are citrus scented and they reminded me of something sweet like orange-flavored jellybeans or orange sherbet. If they were edible, I’d probably try them. The scent alone might cause you to put greasy fingerprints all over your refrigerator just so you can clean it again. Okay, that’s probably a stretch, but I did find the scent to be much more enjoyable than most cleaning products.
So it smells great, but how does it clean? Just as the back of the package claimed, it effortlessly took off fingerprints, smudges and water spots without scratching the surface. They were also really gentle on my hands and didn’t seem to irritate my skin at all.
As for the cost, they are about $3.75 for a pack. The wipes are 7 x 10 inches and there are 18 in a pack. The wipes stay moist in a compact package that reseals. They should last quite awhile, because I was able to clean several appliances and a sink with one wipe.
Oh no, I fear I’m starting to sound like a bad infomercial testimonial…but I really do like this product. I guess a real infomercial testimonial would go something like: “This product has changed my life. Not only did it clean my stainless steel, but it cured my terminal illness and made me very rich!” I’m not going to go that far; I’m just saying I like how it cleans.
So, if you have a lot of stainless steel, I would definitely recommend Pledge Stainless Steel Wipes. If you don’t have stainless steel, maybe you could buy them anyway and strap them to your face so you can smell them (like the crazy “freshness lovers” in Febreeze commercials). Just a thought…
To be fair, though, I haven’t tried any other products specifically for cleaning stainless steel, so I can’t say that this is better than anything else. I just thought that the Pledge Stainless Steel Wipes did what they claimed, and as a bonus, they smelled nice.
