Product Review: Timex T318S Alarm Clock
I bought my Timex T318S alarm clock about 4 years ago and it is still going strong. I have not had any problems with it at all. I love the fact that it has a rechargeable battery back up that you do not have to replace, or at least I haven’t had to. When the clock is plugged into an outlet it automatically charges the inner battery so that if the power goes out, or you happen to unplug the alarm clock for some reason, you don’t have to reset your clock and alarm settings all over again.
The Timex alarm clock will hold its charge for a long time, I would say about a day or longer without being plugged in. It will tell you when the inner battery is getting low so that you can plug it back in. The analog part runs on 3 AA batteries, which are separate from the inner battery. These batteries need to be replaced every few months, if you choose to use the analog clock.
I use my T318S alarm clock by Timex not only to wake up to, but also many times I use the nature sounds to fall asleep to. You can set how long you want the nature sounds, or radio, to play or you can leave them on continuously. I like the fact that I also have a variety of sounds to wake up to. I absolutely hate waking up to a loud buzzer, it just doesn’t start my day out right.
With my Timex T318S I can set my alarm to a soothing sound of chiming bells, kind of like the sound of church bells. The sound starts out quietly and gradually gets louder, I like this feature a lot! I don’t get jolted by the loud blast of an alarm anymore, rather I get gently woken up by a sound that I find very soothing. There are a few alarm sounds to choose from, so if you do not like the sound of bells you have other choices.
I absolutely love my Timex T318S alarm clock and will definitely purchase one again, if or when the one I have now stops working. I don’t see this happening anytime soon though, the T318S I have now still works great.
