‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ Alexis Bellino, Gretchen Rossi Fired: Is it Really True?

Alexis Bellino and Gretchen Rossi have been reportedly fired from appearing on season 9 of “Real Housewives of Orange County.” A source spoke with EOnline and according to their report, the two “RHOC” cast members were let go due to lack of story lines.

“Neither will be returning for season nine. The feeling is both of their journeys on the show have come to an end,” said the E! insider. “Bravo is constantly looking at the casting and dynamics and it felt like time for a change.”

Nothing has been officially confirmed by the Bravo network regarding the firing of Alexis and Gretchen. Rumors typically flood the Internet about some of the biggest names in the “Real Housewives” franchise leaving the show, being fired before the next season begins, or when they renew contracts. They often turn out to be untrue. In this instance, the news seems pretty solid, but without an official statement from Bravo or the two women themselves, who knows what the real story is.

One report said producers were trying to get rid of Alexis, but when a new cast addition bowed out at the last minute, they kept her on for season 8.

“Producers are currently meeting with new women,” the source added.

Gretchen Rossi and her husband, Slade Smiley, are reportedly handing out resumes to various networks to get their own reality show. Reality Tea reported that the newlyweds were hoping to have a spin-off show featuring their new life together and planning to have a baby. Now they’re hoping someone will sign them up for a reality show that follows their new experiences
