Review of Franklin Commnity’s Housing, Schools and Parks

Life in the Franklin Community is diverse and welcoming. It offers a lot of small town quality with big city convenience. Neighbors are friendly and housing is affordable. The community is well kept with a lot of community activities, great schools, convenient shopping, culture and luxury all in a neat little package.

Franklin, Indiana, population 20,000, was named after one of our countries great founding fathers, Benjamin Franklin. Here in the community of Franklin neighbors look out for one another, always there to lend a helping hand and cultured enough to be courteous and respectful to your privacy. Housing is affordable offering well maintained, good neighborhoods for the small budget with room enough for five. Also offering tasteful, luxury housing within the same great community for larger budgets. Housing ranges anywhere from the 100,000 dollar range on up to the millions of dollars estates. People have such great pride in this community that it becomes difficult to tell which is the higher priced estate.

While Franklin is close to downtown Indianapolis, Indiana, it is far enough that you can forget about the big city blues and still enjoy big city convenience. Franklin has recently been host to many exciting community events surrounding the Halloween holiday such as, “Young Frankenstein” at the Artcraft theatre; soon to host All About Eve. And if that’s not your cup of tea you can always hop over to bingo night at the Senior Center. Maybe do a little Friday Night Jamboree with the family at the Franklin Senior Center held every third Friday of the month. In all types of weather you can enjoy some of the finest scenery at one of the many parks Franklin has to offer. Franklin Action Park hosts skateboarding, inline skating and extreme bicyclist events. Quiet relaxation is just around the corner offered at Community Park, Province Park or the newest attraction Blue Heron Park and Wetlands. In the midst of summer break Franklin Four H Grounds hosts the carnival complete with Ferris wheel and merry-go-round. This is real live Norman Rockwell living at it’s finest. With Franklin’s convenient location your family can take a hop, skip and a jump over to see the Care Bears Live event at the Murat Theater in Indianapolis and still have the great tunes fresh in your head when you kiss the kids good night; if you can get them to sleep after all the excitement.

The schools offer a large curriculum with focus on the competitive workforce. They offer a wide range of training and give the kids priceless memories. Just recently the children went to Louisville, Kentucky, on a school field trip, took a cruise and toured the factory where the make the infamous Louisville slugger. The children in this community never fake a sick day going to school here is like their second home. Franklin Community High School was named Best Buy Honor Roll School by Indiana Chamber of Commerce in 2001-2002, 2002-2003, 2003-2004. Creekside Elementary was named a four star school by Indiana Department of Education. The teachers get to know every student and foster a great, caring learning environment. Success is in the forecast for children in this community and I am proud to be a part of it. Even while attending yard sales in neighboring communities such as Greenwood and Whiteland I feel as if everyone here is a friend and trusty neighbor. Even in the Greenwood Mall or shopping at Macy’s or Walmart this great community will always make you feel at home.

With it’s great schools, close to home competitive college, state of the art hospital and advanced community resources Franklin is a fast growing community with great opportunities for it’s young leaders. A wonderful place to call home, to get a great employment opportunity and to grow some roots. Stop by and I’ll put the coffee on.
