Each “pack” of Gemstone Treasures is a small box with all of the information about the set listed on it. When the box is opened, the gemstone is placed in the center of the pack with a nice little frame of sorts around it. A nice thing about this set is that the weight of your gemstone is written on the box, so you know right away how much your gem weighs and is probably worth.
Just as with sports cards, Gemstone Treasures also has insert sets. The insert sets are as follows:
Matched Pair: These contain a matched pair of the gemstone and are inserted 1 out of every 14.5 packs.
Carat Club: These contain gemstones that weight over one carat and are inserted 1 out of every 29 packs.
Silver Series, Ready to Wear: These contain a gemstone that weighs more than one carat and is already mounted on a .925 sterling silver pendant. They are inserted 1 out of every 55 packs.
Gold Series, Ready to Wear: These contain a gemstone that weighs more than one carat and is already mounted on a 14k gold pendant. These are inserted one out of every 385 packs.
Diamond Series: These contain a genuine diamond in place of one of the gems from the set and are inserted 1 out of every 3,200 packs.
Diamond Ring, Ready to Wear: These packs contain a diamond accent ring instead of a gemstone and are inserted 1 out of every 4,800 packs.
While Gemstone Treasures offers the collector a chance at pulling something as valuable as a diamond, it is fairly unlikely that you will get one. The nice thing about this product though is that no matter what you get, it is always nice if you like gems. A pack sells for around $12-15 on the internet, so a collector collecting the whole set is a realistic goal.
