Review of Silverado Resort, Napa Valley

One of my favorite Napa Valley resorts is the Silverado Resort. This beautiful property is a spacious and welcoming comfort zone surrounded by palm trees and lush rolling hills. This elegant hotel sets on an astounding 1,200 acres of land and is rooted deep in the heart of wine country. These private cottage suites are clustered around courtyards on the outskirts of the Silverado Resort’s two golf courses. Each cottage has its own decor and unique ambience to capture the true beauty of Napa Valley and the surrounding mountains.

Standard guest rooms offer a comfortable setting with plush floral print seating and off-white accents. Each standard guest room has a king bed, sitting area, and 250 sq. ft living space. Rooms come with robes, Honor bar, and a touching complimentary service– in-room coffee and tea. Junior Fireplace Suites are a step up from the standard guest room and come with a wood burning fire place, kitchenette and balcony/patio space. Guests can also choose between the one bedroom and two bedroom Fireplace Suites. Both suites provide a full kitchen, dining area, living space, and balcony. All rooms at the Silverado Resort offer complimentary wireless internet access.

There are two restaurants at the Silverado resort that pride in fresh, locally grown ingredients that center around their dishes. The Grill at Silverado serves fresh California cuisine while offering organic options. Guests may also choose to dine at the Royal Oak- a premier steak house that serves some of the finest cuts of beef available along side of traditional side dishes. Silverado’s executive chef, Peter Pahk, was recently awarded with the 2008 Napa Valley Mustard Festival’s People’s Choice Award.

When it comes to amenities and activities, the Silverado Resort certainly steps up to bat. The luxury 16,000 sq ft. spa complex serves as a resort within the resort where visitors can relax themselves while sitting back at the Solarium Lounge. This classic Roman inspired and designed spa is a gem and definitely worth the trip to Napa. In addition to offering some of the best spa services in Napa Valley, Silverado also provides guests with two 18 hole golf courses and tennis courts.

With some of the best service in the business and a tranquil setting that keeps guests coming back year after year, the Silverado Resort is truly a dream vacation. While you’re here you can walk around the grounds and take in the beauty and wonder of Napa Valley, or enjoy the award winning dining at one of Silverado’s restaurants. This five star resort is definitely worth every dime and mile driven.
