S.L. Bradish’s Promise of Things to Come: Another Great Mystery

The latest S.L.Bradish novel is Promise of Things to Come, yes ladies and gentlemen it is a murder mystery. As she moves forward in the Libra Station Series, find out what the new characters are up to and how they survive the latest situation and all its harms.

Book Review: Synopsis

In Promises of Things to Come Jesse Owens and Charlotte McGee find themselves in dire straights as they run from hoodlums who have overtaken the small town of Bertha May, NV which is just outside Libra Springs. Frank and Sally Cooper and Bill and Connie are only mentioned by name in this story which revolves around the identity of a dead man and where his mysterious money came from before he died in Jesse’s yard.

Mr. Smith and Mr. Jones arrived in Bertha May shortly after the unnamed dead man. Uncertain what to do, Jesse keeps the secret and moves the body. (He also keeps the package the dead man brought to him). When the town turned against him and Charlotte was his only friend, the two of them had to survive long enough to solve the dead man’s mystery and escape the clutches of Mr. Jones before the town of Bertha May could kill them.

Jesse and Charlotte moved to Libra Station at the end “Promises of Things to Come” Just in time to play their parts in “Untimely Demise” the third book in the Libra Station series.

Book Review: Interview

“The characters for the second book arise from my brother in law Jesse and a dear friend of mine Susan. Although the two are thirty years apart in age I could picture them taking on the world if they needed to. It is also a tribute in its own way to my hometown Mina, NV and the way it was in the late 90’s. Some of the people are real as well as the life style. The story came about as I wondered what would happen if someone so poor were suddenly surprised with a fortune.”

She also made a comment on maybe adding on to the series

“There are seven books already completed in the Libra Station series, some of the characters are very dear to me and it’s possible that I might add on later. But for now, I think seven are enough”

Which is a great surprise and anticipation for her dedicated fans.

Although, these books are selling rather well, S.L. Bradish is currently looking for a new publisher for not only the remainder of the series but also to publish new works such as “A Murder of Crows” and other fascinating scripts that I was able to read. She admits that there are more stories brewing in her brilliant mind and will be published as soon as time will allow.
