Sea World in Orlando
Shamu is one of the major attractions of the park, but there are also many other animals that create the ambiance of a beautiful and delightful experience.
Shamu is an orca or killer whale that is the star of Sea World. The latest show that has just recently previewed is Believe! It is a graceful and impressing combination of whale and human interaction, interlaced with video and music. This beautifully choreographed show is a crowd pleaser.
You will also be amazed at the Blue Horizons show where dolphins will astound and amaze. Their acrobatic skills will have the child in you smiling. There are many shows at Sea World such as Mistify and Odyssea. At Odyssea it’s the people that will amaze you here. Clyde and Seamore offers a humorous show for all to enjoy.
There are numerous displays of penguins, manatees, sharks and polar bears. One area displays a pool of stingrays. You are invited to reach in and touch one. In the dolphin lagoon you are offered the opportunity to feed the dolphins or reach in and touch one. Be sure to follow the instructions provided for you.
For an extra fee you can dive with the sharks! You pay to be encased in a tank that houses sharks. Participants wear helmets and wetsuits and are in a wired cage that moves along the shark tunnel that spans 125 feet. At Discovery Cove, you can pay to swim with dolphins. This is a separate area and cost involved. You will need reservations for this portion.
Dining is also a fun experience at Sea World. You can choose to dine with the sharks or with Shamu. There is the option of a Makahiki Luau as well. These options cost extra and they prefer you have reservations. There are numerous onsite restaurants as well as counter service meals available.
