Six Simple Organizational Tips for Your Home

Are you an organized person? Do you know where to find most items in your home? Do you normally put things back where they belong, after using them? Are your closets, drawers and shelves tidy? If this sounds like you, you are unique. Most people never know where to find most items in their home. In fact, most people spend a good portion of their lives looking for items and going around in circles trying to find these items. They also spend a good portion of their lives trying to find an organizational method that works for them. For this reason, these tips may help most people.

Boxes of storage bags, aluminum foil, etc.

We all have many boxes of sandwich bags, storage bags, and aluminum foil. We need these items to cook and store our food items. However, we need a place to gather them or they may just keep falling out of the cabinet. An ideal place is vertical magazine holders. These will store four to six boxes, depending on size.

Extension cords

Are you always looking for an extension cord? What not designate a drawer for them? Place small extension cords in toilet paper rolls. Your various chargers can also be stored in toilet rolls. Secure the larger ones with a rubber band. Of course, the very large ones must be stored outside.

Scarves

Do you love to wear scarves? Yet, do you wonder where to place them, where you can see them and where they won’t wrinkle? Why not place a few shower curtain rings onto the bar of a pants hanger. Now you simple hang your favorite scarves from the rings. They won’t wrinkle and by hanging in a clear location, they will be easy to see and find.

Tidy Drawers

When putting away your clothes in a drawer, how do you place them? Do you normally place them one on top of the other? Why not switch things up and begin placing the clothes in a horizontal fashion, a front to back style? This will allow you to see every shirt in your drawer. Then you can see everything in the drawer and won’t forget about that new shirt your just bought.

Pans

Do you love baking cookies? Do you hate having to dig through your various cookie boards and miscellaneous baking items to find that one baking sheet you want to use? You could place some file organizers in your cabinet to organize your cooking sheets, cutting boards and other accessories easier. They all will be standing on their side and will be easier to see. When you want one, you simply slide it out from the organizer.

Plastic bags

Do you reuse those plastic bags that you get from the store? Do you use them as trash liners for those small trash cans such as the one in your bathroom? Do you use them when you clean the kitty litter box? Do you use them for many other household chores? Have you ever thought about storing them in an empty tissue box? An empty tissue box will hold many of these plastic bags, once you fold them. Plus, you can place these boxes in many areas of the home, where you may need the bags.
