The first way to keep your home safe is to keep your animals safe. You don’t want a sick animal playing with your children. So to help do this you must keep things away from your animal that you have probably never even thought about. Such as an avocado, onions, salt, raisins, grapes, chocolate, moldy food, garlic, or even macadamia nuts. These are things that are extremely hazardous for your pets. If you have pool, make sure your animals can’t drink from it. It could be very dangerous to your pet. I once owned a dog that like to for some reason chew on candles. I always worry about what I’m using to kill bugs with and the outcome of my children getting a hold of them. Most homes have these two small cabinets, they are very high, and if you keep your cereal on top of your refrigerator than that’s perfect because, and then most kids don’t even see the cabinets.

The fifth way to keep your home safe is to have regular checks of mold and carbon monoxide ran. You are better off knowing that your children are safe sleeping at night. The last but not least way of making sure your home is safe and poison free is to have a exterminator come out monthly to get rid of pests. This will help you to know that nothing is crawling over your counter at night while you are sleeping. Also, and most importantly hire someone to take care of your lawn if you are not able to. This will provide a nice place for your kids to play without worrying what kind of bugs might bite them. If you are in the country, then you won’t have to worry so much about snakes. Snakes don’t like short cut, groomed lawns.
