Six Things to Keep Organized Using a Toilet Paper Tube
Use a cardboard toilet paper tube to organize elastic hair bands
It never fails. You buy a bunch of elastic hair bands and they somehow disappear. Instead of losing them and then finding them all over the place, wrap them around a cardboard toilet paper tube. They will stay in one place and won’t get stretched out.
Use a cardboard toilet paper tube to organize bobby pins.
Like the elastic hair bands, they always come neatly organized, but before you know it they’re missing or they’re all over the place. Slide the bobby pins onto the edge of the cardboard toilet paper tube. They’ll stay in one place, they won’t get bent and they won’t go missing.
Use a cardboard toilet paper tube to organize underwear when traveling in a car, bus, boat or train.
Instead of folding your underwear and having it get lost inside your luggage, put it inside a cardboard toilet paper tube. Obviously you’ll need more then one tube to do this, but it works. The underwear stays in one place and if you have to open your luggage in front of other people, your underwear won’t be exposed for the world to see.
Use a cardboard toilet paper tube to organize extra garbage bags by a garbage can.
Many people will keep a spare garbage bag somewhere near their bathroom garbage can or some other small garbage can so when the bag in the can is full it can immediately be replaced. Instead of having the bag just lying there on the floor, stuff it inside the cardboard toilet paper tube. Then take the tube and tape it to the back of the garbage can where it won’t be visible.
Use a cardboard toilet paper tube to organize makeup brushes
Instead of makeup brushes being thrown onto a dresser top or into a makeup bag, have them stand straight up inside the empty toilet paper tube. It will keep them organized and keep them from getting anything spilled on them.
Use a cardboard toilet paper tube to organize spare tea light candles
Many people keep tea light candles in their home for emergencies, to use as a decoration or just to use as a regular candle. Tea light candles can sometimes be bought as singles so instead of just throwing them in a bag, stack them in an empty cardboard toilet paper tube first. Before you put them in the tube, glue a spare piece of wrapping paper or spare piece of fabric onto the tube, sealing off one end of the tube. This will prevent the candles from falling out of one end.
Considering how many cardboard toilet paper rolls a household goes through every year, it is always a good idea to try to find alternative uses for them instead of having them simply thrown away.
