Smoothie Recipes: A Few of My Great Favorites

Do you have trouble getting your kids to eat their greens?? Well then this is definitely the smoothie for you�

“Groovy Green Smoothie” By: mamaiscookin

Ingredients:
1 banana (cut into chunks)
1 Cup grapes
1 (6 ounce) tub vanilla yogurt
�½ apple, cored and chopped
1 �½ cups fresh spinach leaves

Yes spinach leaves, now that sounds crazy but wait until you try it, this smoothie is unbelievably great tasting, and great for you.

Directions:
First place the banana, grapes, yogurt, apple and spinach into a blender. Cover, and blend until smooth, stopping frequently to push down anything stuck to the sides, Then your ready to pour the mixture into glasses and serve.

Now how easy was that? It takes about 10 min. to prepare and serve and it serves 2 so you can drink a glass along with your kids to show them it tastes great.

This next smoothie is a little more traditional. It takes about 5 minutes to prepare and serves 2 and it has an exceptionally smooth texture.

“Apple Banana Smoothie” By: Jim Wohlgemuth

Ingredients:
1 Frozen banana, peeled and chopped
�½ cup orange juice
1 Gala apple, peeled, cored and chopped
�¼ cup milk

Directions:
In a blender combine the frozen banana, orange juice, apple and milk.
Blend until it is smooth. Then pour the smoothie into glasses and serve.
You can add a dollop of whipped cream for appearance and a little sweetness.

This next smoothie is so good. It is fruity and delicious and simply amazing on those wonderful hot days of summer. This recipe serves 2 so invite a friend over to lounge in the sun and share a smoothie.

“Banana Berry Smoothie III” By: Rachel

Ingredients:
1 banana, frozen and chunked
1 cup frozen raspberries
�¾ cup orange juice
�¼ cup vanilla yogurt

Directions:
In a blender, combine banana, raspberries, orange juice and yogurt. Blend ingredients until it becomes smooth. Pour into glasses to serve.

With a 2 minute preparation time you just can’t beat a better summer time fruit smoothie.

This tropical fruit smoothie is incredible, a delicious breakfast or snack drink for those hot summer days. It is low fat so everyone will be happy with this phenomenal beverage.

“Dana’s Tropical Fruit Smoothie” By: Dana

Ingredients:
1 (15 ounce) can crushed pineapple (Un-drained)
1 cup plain yogurt
1 banana
8 ice cubes
1 cup orange juice

Directions:
Combine un-drained can of pineapples, yogurt, banana, and ice cubes in a blender. While blending, slowly add the orange juice until fruit is pureed and it comes to your desired consistency.

This Tropical smoothie is amazing. It brings Hawaiian flavor and zest to your beautiful summer days.

“Tropical Cooler Smoothie” By: Meagan

Ingredients:
1 cup orange juice
2 cups pineapple chunks, drained
1 banana, coarsely chopped
�¼ cup skim milk
2 tablespoons honey
1 cup crushed ice

Directions:
In a blender combine orange juice, pineapple chunks, milk, honey and crushed ice. Blend mixture until completely smooth.
Pour smoothie into 2 glasses and enjoy by yourself or with a friend for a wonderful, refreshing taste of Hawaii this summer.
