Spend the Day at the King of Prussia Mall

The King of Prussia Mall is a huge variety of sights, sounds and eats. It contains so many stores that it would be impossible to visit them all in a single day. It’s better to do your homework. Visit the mall’s website www.kingofprussiamall.com and decide which stores you want to visit ahead of time. Maps of the mall’s complex floorplan are also available online. It is definitely in your best interest to have a map available. If you forget your map at home, the mall has directories and maps available at no charge. The mall has a very casual, relaxed atmosphere. It is very apparent that you are safe as well. The security guards are visible throughout the mall.

The King of Prussia mall has eight well known department stores: Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, JC Penny’s, Sears, Strawbridge’s, Lord & Taylor, Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus. Each of these stores reminded me of our local versions, only on a larger scale. These department stores are at least two levels and they have handy escalators.

I didn’t go for the larger department stores though, I wanted to see the latest trends at the awesome stores. My favorite smaller stores were DKNY, Wet Seal, Forever 21, Rampage and White House/Black Market. They displayed many unique clothing ideas using the latest trends. By the way, white is in this year!

The mall provides various types of food as well. There are local chains such as Subway and Burger King, but some of the more exciting food comes from India and the east. There are Chinese favorites as well. These choices are located in the food court, but there are larger restaurants as well: For example, Morton’s of Chicago- The Steakhouse, Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery, Sullivan’s Steakhouse, Blue Pacific Chinese Bistro & Sushi, Tuscanny Pizza Market and Bennigan’s just to name a few! The choices are very enticing.

After dinner make a stop at the Clover Hill Winery and sample the delicious varieties. The wine is reasonably priced and the store itself contains unique gift ideas. This is just one of the many speicialty stores located inside the mall. If you have the kids along and want to make a new friend you could go to the Build-A-Bear Workshop. There your child can literally make their new best friend. Adults will enjoy the speicialty coffee and tea shops which help us learn to relax at the end of a long day.

Being the largest mall on the east coast makes the King of Prussia Mall a favorite at my house. It’s impossible to see everything in one day, therefore, we will definitely be returning. Amazing clothing and accessory sales, entertainment for the kids, and friends nearby: I can’t wait to go again!
