Suggested Wedding Photographers in New York City

Planing a wedding can be the most stressful, and yet at the same time the most fun thing you will ever do. You have to decide on the reception, the flowers, plan the seating arrangements, select the music, choose a gown and last but certainly not least select a wedding photographer. Let’s see if we can help you with that last one. There are many things to take into consideration when choosing a wedding photographer. If you are like most people, you have a business card from a photographer who did a wedding or other event you attended. But wedding photographers book up very fast and there is not guarantee that the one you know will be available So you need to have a back up list.

One of the most important things to take into consideration is the personality of the wedding photographer. How do you get along? Are you comfortable talking with him or her? After all the wedding photographer is going to be spending the most important day of your life with you, and if there is a personality conflict, it will show up on film So, make sure you can meet in person and bring questions to ask such as:

What kind of camera will the wedding photographer use? Film or digital or both? Will the wedding photographer bring extra equipment , just in case something happens to the main one.

Does the wedding photographer carry liability insurance? You may think that the catering hall’s insurance would cover any eventuality, but that is not necessarily so. For instance, if a heavy camera were to fall and injure someone, the hall would not be responsible.

Go over their packages with the wedding photographer. . See if you can customize anything

What kind of a guarantee does the wedding photographer give?

Can you contact any of their previous clients? Do they have any testimonials available for you to see?
Make your list and be prepared to interview. Take a look at the wedding photographers listed here. I have tried to select ones with different prices and different styles to give a good representation of what is available. And do not wait till the last minute. Many of theses wedding photographers are booked up way in advance, epically if you are getting married during the most popular months. Some of them have to be booked a year in advance. Good luck and happy hunting.
