Taking a Sharper Look at Sharper Image
Sharper image has a wide range of gadets. My favorite section of the store is the chairs section. Sharper Image has leather chairs that massage your back while you rest in the chair. Most massage chairs also have foot rests that massage your feet. The massage chairs really does a good job on your back and for people who are very tense or have very stiff backs then I recommend that you try one of these chairs out at Sharper Image to see if it is right for you. The chair massages you upper and lower back in all kinds of positions and ways. One of the more expensive massage chairs also comes with speakers so that you can plug your radio or Ipod into the armchair rest and the speakers in the chair will play the music while you relax.
Other gadgets in the store include electronic devices like a DVD and CD holder and turnstyle that spins around and holds up to 80 DVDs or CDs. Just by the push of a button the machine will rotate the DVDs or CDs. Sharper Image also has an assortment of alarm clocks. One particularly caught my eye that could play up to a half an hour of film to be used as a tape recorder.
The store sells several dictionaries such as an electronic voice recorded dictionary that fits in your pocket and a SAT pocket electronic device that helps you study for the Scholastic Aptitude Test on the Go.
One of the latest items I have bought from Sharper Image was an electromagnetic dart set. The dart board can hang on any hood or wall. On one side is a normal dart set and on the back side is a dart board shaped in a baseball diamond. The baseball dart board allows you to throw darts and aim for a single, double, triple or home run. There are three outs and if you land on certain spots while throwing your darts, you could get a fly out, ground out or strikeout. Once someone has 3 outs, the other person goes. It is a lot of fun.
The store also has some practical items like an umbrella that has extra layers to stop the rain and a pair of speaker phones that are loud enough to be heard almost anywhere.
The only downside to this great store is that most of the prices are expensive for items. The massage chairs are around $600-$1000 each. Even a simple item like a dart board will cost you $30 and the changeable DVD holder is $150.
Still, I recommend you try out the store for yourself. Even if you don’t buy anything, you can have some fun in the store at the same time.
