The Abilities of Photoshop

You probably already know that you can use Photoshop to create web banners and buttons or to create web sites. In fact, creating banners and buttons is rather easy. All you need to do is use the predefined web banner sized canvas that Photoshop already comes with. However, this is not all that Photoshop can do for you.

The majority of people who are using Photoshop today are not using it to its fullest potential. This software is highly versatile. Here are some ways that you could be using Photoshop but probably aren’t.

Did you know that you could use Photoshop to restore old photographs? You probably have photographs in your old family album that haven’t done a very good job at standing up over the years. Maybe these pictures have cracks or tears in them that spoil their look. Well, the good news is that you are able to use a scanner to upload the pictures to your computer. You can then open the photos in Photoshop and use Photoshop’s Healing Brush, Patch Tools, and Clone Stamp to make your photograph as good as new. (The Healing Brush is an especially good tool. This is because it takes samples of the data that is found in any single part of your picture and then blends it together with what is already there.)

Did you know that you could use Photoshop to correct mistakes? Maybe you’ve placed your finger on top of the camera lensâÂ?¦ Maybe you’ve gotten your flash too close to your photo, thus causing the people in your photograph to have a bad case of “red eyeâÂ?¦” Whatever the case is, you can still fix your photograph. You can begin by using the crop tool. This will enable you to save a part of your photograph and then enlarge it to a decent size. You can then use the tool that is called an eyedropper and sample the color that is surrounds the iris. You would then use the paintbrush to get rid of the red.

Did you know that you could use Photoshop to add graphics to your videos? Many editing systems will allow you to transport Photoshop’s .psd files immediately into their timeline.

Did you know that you could use Photoshop to create textual effects for both online items and those that are to be in print? You are almost unlimited in what you are able to do here. In order to easily create text that is filled with your picture, simply use the Type Mask Tools. When you’re done you have the option of placing them onto your web site or on a T-shirt for the entire world to see.

Did you know that you could use Photoshop to turn a photograph into a great piece of artwork? We all enjoy looking at nice things on our walls, especially when these things are not the same as what is on everyone else’s wall. The Move Tool can be used to simply move the text that you’re working with sideways so that it fits the size of the picture that you’re using. You then need to somewhat adjust the way in which this is obscured and you’ve created something where the text looks as though it had always been there.

Did you know that you could use Photoshop to combine graphics and text to create covers for reports, books and CD’s? There are a variety of ways in which you can manipulate images within Photoshop. For instance you can use the command that is known as “layer via cut.” This will cause your title text to go behind a portion of your picture.

Did you know that you could use Photoshop in such a way as to change your artwork or photograph into a web site? Simply use the slicing tool in order to cut your work into pieces that can be easily downloaded. From there you can use the rollover function in order to embed your website’s URL.

Did you know that you could use Photoshop to combine pictures? You can then make the impossible possible by creating fake photographs. For instance, if you really want to say that you shook hands with a star, Photoshop can make that happen for you. This is because Photoshop will allow you to take one picture’s background, some elements from another picture, and then put them together with a third picture’s background to form a picture that was never actually taken.
