The Advantages of a Glass Stove Top
So what is the advantage of having a glass stove top if it is just electric burners that heat up under the glass? Cleaning is much easier on a glass top stove. For some people this may not seem like such a big advantage but once you have had a glass stove top you will see that it is a big advantage.
All you do when you clean a glass stove top is wipe it with a cloth and it is clean. As times you may have to use a very mild abrasive like baking soda to clean the glass stove top. But that is it. It cleans up incredibly easy. it is so easy you will not want to go back to a regular electric or gas stove.
When you clean a regular electric stove top or a gas stove top you have many nooks and crannies that can build up filth and be difficult to clean. You have to wipe out all the indented areas that get dirty. For some people this may not be a big deal. Maybe they are neater when they cook or maybe they like the added control of a gas burner.
When you cook on a stove everyday cleaning that stove top can get to be very monotonous. A glass stove top can beat the monotony of cleaning the stove top everyday. It takes less then half the time to clean the glass stove top compared to the gas or regular electric.
Maybe you don’t think that you spend all that much time cleaning your stove top. You would be surprised how much time it takes. Stoves tops can get very dirty everyday for the person who cooks everyday. And if you cook three meals a day then a stove top can be a real nasty place for dirt to accumulate. When you have a glass stove top you cut down on cleaning time and cleaning is so much easier.
