The Art of Pretentious Living

Her anger sears
Soft skin of our hearts
If skin we had to protect it
Keep the peace

Disturb her world?
Tell the truth?
She’ll swallow the ashes
Of charred hearts

But all life is worthy to Him
Worthless to mejust this one
Not worthless though
Something issaved?

Denial is real
Depression is joy
Love is conditional
Light is dark and dearth

Resentment lives here
With lonelinessnothingness
Companion, friend?
Only when we pretend.
