The Best Toys for Babies 0-24months
Lots of toys come in different shapes and sizes, colors and designs. Most of them are manufactured to amuse children and to stimulate them into action and hopefully to educate them as well. These toys are as varied as they are numerous; the simple ones have proven to be the most durable. For decades, balls, ropes, dolls, jacks, building blocks, marbles, model cars and trucks have been and still are among the most popular. Many of the original toys have improved greatly over the years. For example dolls can do just as many things as a real baby can. The newest toys are geared to create problems for your child to solve and to help them reason and make decisions
The following list of toys has been tested by parents and kids. Those that got the best reviews are here on my top ten toy list. The first one is Infantino’s Flutterbug. This toy attaches to a crib or a changing table, and will keep your little one occupied. All four wings spin around and help to keep your baby’s interest. The price is usually about $25. Playskool’s Spin’n Pop Arcade gives your little 9 month old lots to do. It includes a ball on the spinner which they can watch roll, and pops into the air. This toy also usually runs about $25. Chico toys are great for the bilingual baby.
They have several new toys that function in English and Spanish. The little ones really loved the talking cube. It has both electronic functions and those that don’t require batteries. This toy is for babies 9 months and up, and the price is about $30. Once of my son’s favorite toys is the Explore and Learn choo choo, from VTech. There are animals, buttons, and a pretend phone. This is another great toy for babies 9 months and up and the price is $35.
What about toy’s for those really energetic babies? Well one of my favorites is the Lamaze Spin n Stack Rings. It plays music and makes sounds, which is everything that a baby loves. This toy is also reasonably priced at about $25. Leapfrog in my opinion makes great toys for kids of all ages. They have such a wide variety of educational toys. My kids love all of their leapfrog toys and they learn so much while playing. This year they have the Learn-Around Playground, which will help your little one to learn their ABC’s and how to count. And of course music.
This toy is a little higher priced then the others at $60. But it is well worth the money. Not only will it keep your little one occupied but they will be constantly learning. The little touch leap pad learning system is great. This is a great way for your child to begin to learn how enjoyable reading can be. It is also a great way for the two of you to spend some quality time together. The price for this toy is very reasonable at $39.99. Another one of my favorites is Lulu the letter spinning spider. She sings songs and play’s games. What a great and fun way for your child to learn.
These are just a few of the many options that are available to parents. One of the most important things that you as a parent must remember is that the toy needs to be safe. Therefore as you resolve to select toys more wisely in the future, you may want to take into consideration as to what each toy will help your child to accomplish. Toys are a valuable aid in a child’s mental and physical growth and you as parents can use them to help guide your child’s growth.
