The Crocodile Hunter Finally Goes Too Far!
If you like animals then you have probably heard of Steve Irwin who is also known as the crocodile hunter. Unfortunately he was killed on Monday September fourth after being stung by a sting ray. Many people have been saying for years that he took a lot of unnecessary risks with his life. Always putting him in danger just to get the perfect shot or show people a special animal. One thing that everyone new about him is that he truly loved all animals. But the truth is everyone new that he would one day take things to far. Although most of us probably thought it would happen when he was out playing with his crocs instead of in the water.
What makes this story even sadder is the fact that he leaves behind his wife and two very young children. It may have been a good idea to take this into consideration when planning out his next adventure. So many of these animal experts put their lives in danger without really thinking through the costs to their families.
Now his children will have to continue growing up without him. I am sure that after the incident with him putting his three month old son in front of a crocodile many people are not surprised that this eventually happened to him. This is not to say that he deserved it in anyway. From watching the many shows and films that he made it looks to me like he acts before he thinks things through carefully. Hopefully his wife will be able to keep the zoo open without him.
The Australian Zoo that he had was one of his best accomplishments. He helped provide a home to so many animals that were desperately in need. Maybe the Irwin family became a little too comfortable with the fact that he always recovered from whatever dangers he encountered. It is a known fact that when a person constantly performs dangerous feats with total disregard for life that they begin to get comfortable when nothing happens. But as we see in this situation and in the past, eventually it will catch up with you.
I am sure that fans will miss his show, and all of the good things that he did for animals. But this time I think that the bottom line is he took things too far. He should have been content with his family and the zoo and the good work that he has already accomplished. Maybe he just caught to wrapped up in Hollywood and in the money that comes along with such a successful show. Either way maybe this will make people thing twice before they begin risking their lives for money or just for the perfect shot.
