The Eyes of Jesus

If we had the eyes of Jesus
We would have never said all those hurtful things
If we had the eyes of Jesus
We wouldn’t ruin our family for a cheap fling
If we had the eyes of Jesus
We would have bought lunch for that homeless man
If we had the eyes of Jesus
We would show love to everyone we can
If we had the eyes of Jesus
There wouldn’t be a single child hungry or alone
If we had the eyes of Jesus
We wouldn’t have to arm ourselves to protect our own home
If we had the eyes of Jesus
There wouldn’t be people without clean water to drink
If we had the eyes of Jesus
We would help those in need without having to think
If we had the eyes of Jesus
We wouldn’t send our youth to die for more resources
If we had the eyes of Jesus
The army of God would be our only forces
If we had the eyes of Jesus
Husbands wouldn’t beat their wives
If we had the eyes of Jesus
We wouldn’t ignore kids that are on the verge of taking their lives
God is a loving God and gave us free will
To make a choice to join him on the hill
Our choices as a society have placed us where we are
But to get back on track we need not go very far
Just turn your eyes to the wonderful creator
A love will fill you that you’ll know no greater
