The Ithaca Commons – Great Place to Shop

One of the most popular places to visit in Ithaca, New York is what is known as the Ithaca Commons. At one point, the Commons was a normal Ithaca street that passed through some local businesses; however, now that road has been blocked off and a mini-community has developed. Currently, the Commons is a great place to meet friends, shop, or dine at wonderful restaurants. Plenty of trees, benches, and other scenery has been added to the area to make it more inviting.

The Commons is home to many unique locally owned businesses. There are few art galleries located on the Commons. Benjamin Peters is an upscale men’s clothing store that traditionally caries suits, shoes, and sportswear items. Evolution 102 is a great clothing store for men or women looking for trendy nightlife clothing. Loose Threads carries new and used vintage clothing. Trader K’s is a popular clothing store that sells used name brand clothing for all ages. Trader K’s will also buy your used clothing provided it is a name brand and in great condition.

For gifts and other specialty items, visit one of these great stores. The Plantation is basically a gift store that offers a wide variety of items; for example, candles, flowers, balloons, and much more.
