During her high school years, she was an avid tennis and softball player.
Her mother, Guadelupe, was a kindergarten teacher and David, her father, a computer specialist. Jennifer is the middle child of the family. Her oldest sister Leslie is a housewife and sings opera. Lynda is a DJ at WKTU as well as a VJ. Also a News Correspondent for channel 11’s news.
JLO, as her fans know her, credits her parents’ work ethic for her drive torwards show business JLO worked in a law office after high school and at night attended dance classes. She left home at eighteen because her mother did not approve of her becoming an actress and dancer.
Currently she is married to Marc Anthony. But she has had a rocky road to the altar. She was married twice before. In 1997 married Ojani Noa in Feb 22, 1997. It did not last long. They separated and later divorced. Ojani Noa stated he would write a book about if he was not paid 50 million. In return she filed a law suit against him.
She then married Chris Judd who she met in January 2001 while she filmed her video. Her marriage ended in divorce in 2003.
Jennifer was engaged to Ben Affleck beginning in November 2002. But the engagement was called off in January 2004. March Anthony is her third marriage. They married in June 5, 2004. After March Anthony obtained a quickie divorce from his wife. Four days before his wedding to Jennifer.
According to E Online, his motto is “What you see is what you get”. Jennifer married Marc because he maker her laugh. Her marriage remains very private in contrast to her other relationships. Especially the Ben Affleck engagement and marriage to Chris Judd.
Besides the entertainment business, JLO has plunged herself into the fashion industry. She established Sweetface Fashion. This was formed with Tommy Hilfiger. It is a company that makes clothes, fragrance, swimwear, accessories, lingerie and footwear. She stated in http://www.shopjlo.com that she is in the fashion business to have a direct impact on the woman’s marketplace. This is a company that markets their products with a youthful feel. Her clothing line is definitely a competitor to Torrid. Another company hat markets clothing to 20 something’s.
So what is JLO up to in the entertainment business? She started her tour in Dubai. But is concerned about the terrorist threat. Also in the works is a reality show showcasing Jennifer.
On the big screen Jennifer is going to play Sue Ellen in the movie version of Dallas. She will play opposite to John Travolta. The filming will not start till October stated David Jacobs the series creator. Also in the works, she is recording a album called “Como Ama Una Mujer.” This means “How a Women Loves.” Also new on the shelves is the book “Off the Block”, which tells about Jennifers’s life.
