The Sand Castle on the Beach in St. Croix
St. Croix is noted for it’s layed back style, and if your like me and need a nice quiet getaway without all the huslte and buslte, I recommend highly St. Croix, the town of Frederiksted. There you can relax, and enjoy the beautiful crystal blue waters, palm trees blowing in the tropical breeze. And of couse the wonderful white sandy beaches. But aside from that beauty is the fine dining and cusine you find on the Island.
Watching the sunset, with the water coming toward the beautiful whit e sandy beaches, I sat at the Beach Side cafe, sipping on a glass of white zifendel, and waiting for the waitress to serve me my grill lobster. The sound of soft jazz playing in the background, just added to the peaceful calm, and serenity.
The menu changes twice a year. They have a winter and summer menu. Their Veal chops, served with a guava glazed sauce, lamp chops and duck breat, served with wild ushroom risotto. There are two varities of succulent surf and turf with grilled lobster and filet mignon or New York Strip.
How do they do what they do, to make these meals so succulent? They do various combinations of different receipes
by using fresh herbs, and island spices. They make them affordable and they also have great vegetarian dishes.
The Sand Casle on the Beach is owned by two lovely ladies Sheryl and Simone.
