The Secret to Cleaning Bathrooms
First, gather up your cleaning rags, cleaning products, scrubber brushes, toilet brush, broom, and mop. Any old cleaning rag will do fine. Choosing the right cleaning product depends on how much money you want to spend, but liquid soap works just fine. Fill a bucket with hot water and add a little soap to let it bubble up. A scrubber brush is very helpful in the ring in the tub.
Start cleaning the tub. Remove all the shampoos, soaps, and anything else in the bathtub. Dip the cleaning rag in the bucket and begin washing the shower walls. Pay attention to the grout areas by getting rid of excess dirt. If you have shelves, bars, or any shiny areas, pay special attention to them. They collect a lot of soap buildup and hair. Make sure you scrub them clean.
Next, work down to the tub area. Soap up the entire tub with the cleaning rag then use the scrubber brush on the extra dirty areas. Sometimes you can see the ring around the bathtub. If you have a rough tub bottom that keeps you from sliding, this will also develop dirt. Scrub extra hard in these spots and add extra cleaning liquid if needed.
The last thing you’ll have to do for your tub, is rinse the shower wall and tub. Move the shampoos, soaps, and bath toys back to the shower.
Pour toilet cleaning solution in toilet bowl and scrub with toilet brush. Scrub all around the bowl and especially at the top rim where the water flows into the toilet. If you look underneath the rim, you can see that a dirty buildup will form. Clean these areas away with your brush.
Next, wipe down the outside of the bowl. Hairspray, hair, and dust can collect on the lid and along the bottom near the floor. Remove this dirt with the cleaning rag. You’ll probably need to rinse the rag out a few times.
Now we move over to the sink. Remove everything from the sink and counter. Wipe down with the cleaning rag. Return items to the sink counter.
Sweep the floor with the broom. Use the cleaning rag around baseboards where hair and lint builds up.
Mop the floor, starting from the back of the room and heading toward the door.
There’s only one more thing left to do: polish the metal. Whether you have silver or gold, your faucets need to be polished. A cheap window cleaner works perfect.
Now you’re finished! Sticking to this method completes the job in less than thirty minutes. A beautiful bathroom is necessary when expecting visitors. Everyone loves to walk into a clean porcelain bathroom. You will enjoy seeing the result of your hard work also. Remember, a beautiful bathroom is a clean bathroom and is quite easy to achieve!
