The SEVEN-UPS is a picture show that gets better with each decade. It’s a quality piece set against the grimy streets of New York City 1970’s. There are movies that portray the “gangster” and the “mobster” this portrayed “mob style”
NYC’s Bronx and Manhattan heats up when some one is kidnapping wise guys for ransoms at $100,000 a pop a little on the side transaction headed by Lo Bianco who has hired two great bad guys! Moon, RICHARD Lynch ( Good Against Evil, Invasion U.S.A.) and Bo, BILL Hickman to do the operation of kidnapping, retrieving the ransoms and the occasional muscle when needed.
Bad guys, Moon and Bo end up killing one of Scheider’s elite unbeknownst to him as he stumbles into this bit of info when avenging one of his own.
Screenplay by ALBERT Ruben & ALEXANDER Jacobs there is a killer car chase that ranks with STEVE McQueen’s “BULITT” Scheider’s pedals to the metal after bad guys Lynch and Hickman! Character player JOE Spinell (The Godfather, Rocky, Taxi Driver ) is in this too. The music compellingly driven by DON Ellis keeps you glued to the seat in it’s intensity!
This movie if you can still find it for sale is STILL a sure winner for any collector
