The Sonicare Elite 39500 Sonic Toothbrush vs the Braun Oral B Professional Care Oral Care System
When you are looking for an electric toothbrush there are a couple features you should keep in mind. Personally when I bought both the Sonicare Elite 39500 Sonic Toothbrush and the Braun Oral B Professional Care Oral Care System, I looked for what types of toothbrush heads the electric toothbrush offers and how much it costs to replace them. Beyond that there are standard industry basics, like two-year warranties and rechargeable batteries that seem to come with every electric toothbrush.
The Sonicare Elite 39500 Sonic toothbrush comes with two heads. One is a standard electric toothbrush head meant for complete cleaning of your teeth, gums, and mouth. The second head is smaller for more compact precision. The Braun Oral B Professional Care Oral Care System comes with five different toothbrush attachments. Now that is some bang for you buck when you invest in these pricey electric toothbrushes. The first toothbrush head that comes with the Braun Oral B Professional Care Oral Care System is a flex soft head, perfect for sensitive teeth and gums. The second detachable head is a power polisher. The remaining three interchangeable electric tooth brush heads are a dual action head, a tongue refresher, and an interdental cleaner (this replaces your dental floss). I have to say do to the number of cleaning options that the Braun Oral B Professional Care Oral Care System comes with that it is the better buy than the Sonicare Elite 39500 Sonic Toothbrush.
One other feature that makes the Braun Oral B Professional Care Oral Care System a better buy than the Sonicare Elite 39500 Sonic toothbrush is that replacement heads cost less. The average price of a replacement head for the Braun Oral B Professional Care Oral Care System is $19.99, while replacement heads for the Sonicare Elite 39500 Sonic toothbrush will cost you $29.99.
The Sonicare Elite 39500 Sonic toothbrush and the Braun Oral B Professional Care Oral Care System both come with built in timers that keep you brushing your teeth. I like the timer on the Sonicare Elite 39500 Sonic toothbrush because it allows me to set a 30 second timer or a 2-minute timer. I thought the 30 second timer was silly when I first used it, but it is actually a good reminder if you want to brush you mouth in four different sections. The 30-second timer allows you to focus on one area for the entire time. I did not realize how long two minutes was before I used this electric toothbrush. The Braun Oral B Professional Care Oral Care System also has both a 30 second and two-minute timer as well.
My favorite feature of the Sonicare Elite 39500 Sonic toothbrush is the feature they call Easy Start. When I first tried an electric toothbrush my gums would bleed and be somewhat sore. It actually made me switch back to my regular manual toothbrush. The Sonicare Elite 39500 Sonic toothbrush has an internal feature that starts the electric toothbrush out at a lower brushing power at the beginning and slowly builds up to full cleaning capacity over a period of few days. This is a great way to introduce your mouth to an electric toothbrush.
Over all both the Sonicare Elite 39500 Sonic toothbrush and the Braun Oral B Professional Care Oral Care System offer up some great features that make them two of the best electric tooth brushes on the market today. I do have to say if you enjoy brushing you teeth and like to change out the head soft your electric toothbrush for different types of cleaning I have to recommend the Braun Oral B Professional Care Oral Care System. The brush heads are also a lot less expensive to replace, which can really add up over the life of your electric toothbrush.
