The Tiger Shark
The tiger shark is another dangerous shark right up there by the great white; the tiger shark is a known man eater. The tiger shark got its name from the black stripes on its grey back, because it makes it look like tiger. When a tiger shark starts to become old its stripes start to fade until one day they’re completely gone. The tiger shark’s physical appearances make it stick out like a black flower in the center of a red flower patch. It has a distinct barrel chest, a wide mouth, and a broad nose. The tiger sharks eyes aren’t like other sharks, black, the tiger shark’s eyes look like cat eyes.
Diet:
The tiger shark’s diet is a scary thing to learn about, because humans are on it. Tiger sharks have been known to eat cattle that had fallen over board: donkeys, horses, cows, pigs, sheep, ectâÂ?¦ Humans are also eaten by the tiger sharks. Tiger shark’s natural foods from the ocean are eels, jellyfish, and stingrays. Tiger sharks have been known to eat other sharks, too.
Life span:
The tiger shark lives for about 11 years, in the wild. The life expectancy may last a little longer in captivity since they’re away from predators that may eat them in the wild.
Reproduction:
The female tiger shark is able to have pups (babies) at the age of 4 years. When a female tiger deliver her pups she can have a litter ranging from 10-60 pups. The tiger shark is not a mammal so her pups will eat small organisms to keep themselves alive and growing. Young tiger sharks, after birth, range from 20 to 30 inches in length. It takes a shark. It takes tiger shark 4 to 6 years to completely mature, but they have usually left their parents by this time.
Habitat:
The tiger shark is found in Tropical waters world wide, but they have also been spotted in Le Preau usually tangled in fishing line. The tiger shark is rarely ever spotted by the reefs, because it usually prefers to be in open waters 500 feet beneath the ocean. The tiger shark is rarely ever seen by the human, because they’re fast at moving and stay so far down in the ocean.
Are they dangerous or not?
The tiger shark is very dangerous to us humans, and to other creatures in the ocean. Though, it is very rare to see a tiger shark, when you do it could be the last tiger shark you’d ever see if you’re in the water with it.
