The Top Cafe’s in Sylva North Carolina
You can usually count on three things when visiting a cafÃ?©, great food, coffee, and a relaxing atmosphere. The town of Sylva has several cafÃ?©’s, but there are three that stand above the rest.
Western Carolina Internet Caf©
475 Haywood Road
Dillsboro, North Carolina
(828) 586-5700
Dillsboro North Carolina is right outside of Sylva. You literally have no idea you’ve changed towns, they are so close together. This is the perfect cafÃ?© for you if your hotel doesn’t offer internet access or you’re just looking for a bite to eat in a casual atmosphere. The cafÃ?© offers several different types of coffees and smoothies along with scones, brownies, biscotti, and different types of prepackaged snacks. The most important feature of this cafÃ?© is the internet access. Here in the south, you’ll find that internet access in public areas is hard to find. While large cities offer internet access in places like McDonalds, the smaller cities of the south usually only have internet access in schools, libraries, and some hotels. Even if you live in or near Sylva and Dillsboro, you should really check this cafÃ?© out. I think this would be a perfect place to spend time after a college class, while you’re waiting on your work shift to start. The cafÃ?© is open Thursday through Saturday from 7:30am – 8:30pm and Sunday through Tuesday 7:30am – 6:30pm. They are closed on Wednesday. The cost of internet access is $10 an hour.
Soul Infusion Tea House and Bistro
628 E. Main Street
(NC 107)Sylva, North Carolina
28779
(828) 586-1717
This is a very laid back cafÃ?©. You could easily bring a book to this cafÃ?© and just relax while enjoying one of their many flavors of tea. Of course they also have bands that perform at the cafÃ?© on a regular basis. The cafÃ?© is located in a 1930s farmhouse and their living room is setup with couches and coffee tables, making for the perfect reading atmosphere. The cafÃ?© also has a game room, a dining room to enjoy all their delicious food, and a open garden where the bands play. This is just a really funky place and great for teens, college students, and funky people who enjoy a good time. They offer lots of home cooked foods, exotic teas, and coffees from around the world. If you haven’t checked this Sylva cafÃ?©, you really must. It’s a great place to have lunch if you are just visiting Sylva and a great place to hang out on a regular basis if you live in Sylva or nearby. Open Tuesday through Thursday 11am – 10pm, Friday 12pm – 12am, closed Saturday through Monday.
447 College Drive
Sylva, North Carolina
28778
(828) 586-4091 ext. 349
Footnotes CafÃ?© is located on the first floor of the Balsam Center at Southwestern Community College. You may think this cafÃ?© in Sylva is only accessible to college students, but you’d be wrong. Actually several college cafes and restaurants allow public access. If you are a fan of Rachael Ray’s $40 a Day you know that she frequently eats at college campuses because they offer great prices and this Sylva college cafÃ?© is no different. They offer several different foods, ranging from sandwiches to burgers to salads to daily specials. The daily specials are usually the best bet costing $5 and under, they include items like sandwiches, tacos, pasta, etc, are sometimes severed with chips or fries (depending on what the main dish is) and a drink. They are open Monday through Friday 7:30am – 10:30am and 11:00am – 2:00pm.
These cafÃ?©’s are all relaxing and offer a fun atmosphere. The prices for the food are usually very cheap and the coffee and teas are also quite delicious. I suggest you try at least one of these cafÃ?©’s when visiting Sylva. If you live in Sylva, or nearby, I suggest you try them all.
