I have been to the Brunswick Blue Hen lanes for all of these and I have to say that bumper bowling is a great invention for the kids! I never had this when I was bowling as a kid and I know it was frustrating to throw all of those gutter balls! Also, I found cosmic bowling to be a lot of fun. They turn out the lights and use a disco ball type of light to shine stars and images all over the place. It is really neat and not nearly as distracting as it sounds.
In addition, Brunswick Blue Hen Lanes in Newark, Delaware offers coaching and many different leagues for individuals or groups to join in. My daughter has just signed up for a league there and the first meeting was a lot of fun so I’m sure she’ll enjoy the rest of the sessions as well. Birthday parties at this location are also a blast! They have 17 theaters showing movies at varying times throughout the day and evenings. They feature most of the very latest released movies. The theaters I have been in are equipped with stadium seating so that everyone can best view the films. Each seat is plush and comfortable and has a cup holder for your drinks.
Of course, there is a snack bar at the Regal Cinema in Newark, Delaware! They have the traditional movie popcorn with butter and it is among the best movie popcorn I have had. It is not too salty and it is perfectly buttered when I ask for “light butter.” They also have nachos and drinks and candy among other items.
This theater also boasts a large game room. They have arcade games as well as air hockey and small individual rides for the youngest children. Though they do not offer any specific party packages, this would be a nice location for a child’s birthday party. You might have to do the cake elsewhere though as I do not think that this location has any area for a group to sit together to eat. Though movies are expensive these days, this theater is comparable to others and I find that it is the most comfortable and enjoyable theater I’ve been in.
