Before you visit Howe’s Caverns, realize you will not be able to carry backpacks or baby backpack carriers. The terrain is difficult at times to navigate, so this is for your own protection and safety. Large purses are not allowed either, so I would advise a waist bag such as a fanny pack to hold your keys and wallet. Howes Caverns does allow baby FRONT carriers. The underground environment is fragile so No strollers or walkers are allowed. The caverns stay about 52 degrees F year round, so plan on wearing a jacket or very heavy sweater or super thick sweat shirt, so you can feel comfortable during your touring. Also be sure to wear your most comfortable walking shoes and avoid wearing hard soles. Sneakers and hiking books are the most appropriate footwear for this experience.

You can purchase tickets online or in person. Howes Caverns has adventure tours, private tours, and lantern tours.
