The Top Ten Songs by Beyonce

Since her first solo Album “Dangerously in Love” in 2003 Beyonce has had numerous top hits. Usually one after another. Beyonce happens to be one of the most popular American R&B singers, and songwriters. It seems that everything she writes turns into a number one hit. The fist single to become a hit off of her debut Album was “Crazy in Love“. It not only topped charts in the United States, but also in Canada and the United Kingdom. Her solo album got her about nine Grammy Awards, which just confirms how talented she is. Another song that toped the charts was the remake of Roberta Flack’s song “The closer I get to you” that she sang with Luther Vandross. Another number one hit is her song “Dangerously in love” with showed how powerful Beyonce’s voice really is. If you did not know she was one the number one selling artist of 2003. No wonder she decided to make her solo career a permanent thing.

The second single that she released off of the “Crazy in Love Album” was “Baby Boy“, which featured Sean Paul and instantly hit the top of the charts and was the most played single on the radio. While everyone was still dancing to her other singles she chose to release another one called “Me Myself and I“, and shortly after that “Naughty Girl“. Fans were definitely not disappointed with her first solo album.

Fans were also not disappointed with her single for the movie “The Pink Panther” called “Check on It”. This song instantly went to number one, and critics and fans had to agree that Beyonce did it again. Her next album called B’Day which was released recently on September 4, 2006 was how she wanted to celebrate her twenty fith birthday. Her first single from this album was called “DÃ?©jÃ?  vu“, which has already topped the charts. Co produced by Rodney Jerkins and of course featuring the love of her life Jay-Z. Her second single off the album called “Ring the Alarm” somehow was release prematurely, but either way it still hit number one on the charts. One thing that she did differently for her Japan fans is the bonus track called “Creole’. But this version of B’day is only currently available Japan. This song has also hit the top of the charts in Japan and I’m sure that it would do just as good here once it is released. According to Beyonce during an MTV interview it is possible for the song to be included s a bonus track when the next single is released. This just further shows the world how popular Ms. Beyonce really is.

So far she has only released two solo albums and a few other number one singles for various movies. But she has already accomplished so much, for example did you know that she was the first African American women to win ASCAP’s, songwriter of the year award? She also won five Grammy Awards for her dangerously in love album and was the first female artist to have a number one album and a number one single at the same time in both the UK and the U.S. In 2004 she took home the NAACP Entertainer of the year award. The great thing about Beyonce is that her career is really just beginning and she has so much more that she can achieve in the future, the possibilities really are endless for her. Even though some of us will miss seeing her as a group member for Destiny’s Child, I am sure that her fans will agree, even solo she puts on an amazing show.
