The Walk
The way that you walk is the way that you talk.
What you do is what you say, and it happens every single day.
A coarse look says more than a lying smile,
And such an act holds to the soul for quiet awhile.
There is never a time when we are silent or aloof
And if we examine our lives this is a certified truth.
It matters not your vocabulary nor how you speak,
But what deeds that emerge throughout the week.
So talk all you want; say all you can,
But the walk, and this only, is what truly makes the man.
