The War on Terror: Protesting the Liberation of Iraq

I must say, I don’t know about all of you out there, but one person is really pissing me off more that anything else that has happened surrounding this War on Terror. CINDY SHEEHAN.
Now, I know that I am not alone when I say this; that woman (for lack of a better word) should not be calling herself a mother. I find it funny how she never said anything to her son about doing his job when he was alive; in fact they weren’t very close at allâÂ?¦ at least according to her own family members who are also as disgusted with her motives as the rest of the sane population of this country.

No ‘mother’ would dare exploit their own child’s death to gain financial freedom, and yes folks that is EXACTLY what happened. Many people have died in the war and every war prior to this one since the dawn of time. Everyone that has died was somebody’s child and no one wanted them to die.

The facts are as they are, Cindy has never been able to accomplish anything in her life or finish anything that she had started as soon as her son died she saw the dollar signs appear in a flash. According to her own family, she has always been an attention getting and manipulative person. I guess it was easy to fool the weak minded individuals out there by all of the false pity that this woman conjured up.

For those of us who have ever fought for something dear to us we can all agree that a true ’cause’ is a cause without financial gain and glory, it is quite simply put a goal that you are compelled to achieved for the honor of someone else. Unfortunately for her, we can all clearly see that she has many motives and none were in the honor and memory of her son and the pride most mothers would feel toward their child.

It just amazes me that people remain so blind to this issue still, okay, I could see a few people buying into the self started pity at firstâÂ?¦. But come on folks! Somewhere along the line, maybe after the book deal she sought about ‘her story’ or the movie deal about ‘her story’ or the numerous interviews and public appearances all about ‘her story and her feelings’ or maybe taking donations for ‘her cause’âÂ?¦. You would think that some of the duped individuals would start seeing a pattern. Ask yourselves one questionâÂ?¦ Where does her son fit into this glory hounding?

I know, I knowâÂ?¦ I’ve heard it, “Cindy is trying to stop the war and the fightingâÂ?¦ it has been her goal from day one.”
Yeah right. Okay people, how about thisâÂ?¦ from day one she wanted satisfaction and world recognized pity from the presidentâÂ?¦ she met with him and had a chance to say whatever she wantedâÂ?¦. However nothing came out of her mouth regarding this issue and when the world moved on without throwing her a pity party she threw a temper tantrum and decided to make everyone listen by exploiting her own child. Yet those of us who have a working brain and eyes can see that ‘her cause’ is more important than that hard working soldier who believed in his mission. To disgrace the memory of all those who fought in the wars of past and present and insult their beliefs is wrong no matter how you look at it. I for one come from a long and distinguished line of military personnel and it turns my stomach to see people trying to undermine the serious job that our soldiers have.

And just in case any of you feel that this war was a mistake and that we shouldn’t be over in Iraq to give that brutalized country a fresh start to build what makes our country great, I pity you. I for one do not condone a dictator who uses murder to swing votes in his direction, nor do I agree with testing biological weapons on his own people to make sure they are effective enough to use on his enemies, and I especially do not accept that our people died on 9/11 as a way for a large mass of ‘religious’ people to express their own contempt for the USA and how we live. Just imagine for one single moment if after that tragedy we did NOT go to war and stop this display of sheer hate and evilâÂ?¦ how many more attacks would there have been on our people? If there was no fear of retaliation then more major attacks would have been guaranteed as a way to show the world that these cowards were more powerful than our government. It is a fact, a law of nature; animals do it all the time.
I believe that the Iraqi people have the right to live a fear free life. But, I guess the same people who are against this war and the liberating of an oppressed civilization would’ve also been against the liberating of the Jews when their dictator was murdering them. I guess some people are just selfish in thinking that we Americans are the only ones who deserve to live in freedom. I sure am glad that all Americans didn’t think like thatâÂ?¦ could you just imagine Hitler spreading reign of hate and murderous deeds flowing like an ocean of blood across the globe, entire races wiped out?

The next time you support this awful display of ill gotten attention by way of exploiting the dead that gave you the right to protest, and complain I hope you will remember the horrid people you are publicly professing to adore. All people have rights and God bless those willing to fight for this, a worthy cause.

*11 Million Iraqi’s turned out to vote, supporting their new freedom. Good for them, they have more courage and bravery than some Americans who have merely inherited such freedoms. I, along with millions of proud Americans, stand up and pray for their success.
