Three Great Atlanta Hotels
Atlanta is own for many things, Coca-cola, the Olympics, and shopping, for those who know. The City’s best shopping can be found at the Lenox Square Mall, Phipps Plaza, and a few boutique stores in the vicinity. Leox boasts all the major labels, Versace, Louis, and so on, plus the nations number 2 Neiman’s. The sales staff here is incredible, and after a few visits will know you by name. Phipps counters with an awesome Saks and Barneys co-op, as well as a killer food court, try the pizza.
The best ways two enjoy all the local attractions, including the famous Buckhead nightlife, is to stay close to the action. The Ritz Carlton Buckhead is the obvious choice. This place is known for service. It has a huge lounge/ bar, which is hopping from thursday to sunday, with a dance floor, Jazz band, and the strongest drinks in town. The rooms are small, but well appointed, and the mini bars are well stocked. Plus, it’s within walking distance to the malls and clubs.
Another famous Atlanta hotel is the Westin Peachtree Plaza. This is downtown where you can be close for all the concerts and sporting events, as well as the Varsity, the world’s largest drive through. Anyone from Cali missing In-N-out, can find its Eastern counterpart here. The Westin is cool for two reasons, there’s a glass elevator that looks out onto the Atlanta skyline, and it’s fast. The other is that this elevator takes you to the top of the building where there is a revolving restaurant. Good food, amazing view, especially during sunset. And lastly, the Hotel Intercontinental, the newest of Atlanta’s lux hotels. This place has a great French restaurant as well as a first class spa. The rooms are fairly large and decorated in soft welcoming tones. This hotel is also right across from the shopping and club area.
