Three Top NJ Chiropractors
After moving to Essex County in the 80’s, I asked my closest friends about chiropractors in the area, and remember hearing great things about Dr. Roy Jackson, whose office is still located in Bloomfield. For many years I experienced the healing hands and healthful advice of this vital professional, and always felt the better for it. His approach to adjusting my back shied away from electronic stimulation and gadgetry. Rather he had a gentle yet firm style of adjustment, after enabling me to relax my muscles as much as possible. This included a neck adjustment, as I recall. Plus he offered many positive nutritional suggestions after I filled out an assessment of eating habits. To this day I remember what he said, such as how I needed to avoid so much refined sugar in my diet. His manner was always friendly, professional and upbeat while he maintained a serious demeanor. In addition he treats young people. When I left the area I missed his treatment. Roy F. Jackson, DC can be found at Precision Care, 362 Franklin Street in Bloomfield, NJ 07003. The phone number is 973-748-3006.
Several years later I ended up in Hunterdon county, and was lucky enough to find Dr. Joe Palonis in Flemington through an advertisement offering a free introductory appointment. For well over a decade I visited Dr. Joe’s office on a monthly basis, sometimes more. On occasions when I placed more stress on my lower back than I should have, he made himself available with special arrangements to treat me, thank goodness. If someone needs his adjustment more than once a day, he only seeks payment for the first. Like Dr. Jackson, Joe Palonis keeps up with ongoing education, and during the course of my visits he demonstrated new and more effective techniques for keeping my spine healthy. His staff and he are always very cheerful, even bubbly. The waiting room itself is enjoyable, with cable TV and numerous reading materials. Many of his patients are children, and often whole families are in the treatment room together, taking turns. His treatment can include the use of up-to-date mechanical tables, and special apparatus, along with a sensitive and experienced spinal manipulation. He always finished with a neck adjustment when I was there. Joseph W. Palonis, DC is located at 8 Reading Road, #5, Flemington, NJ 08822. His phone number is 908-806-7575.
When I moved to Ocean county, Dr. Joe recommended a chiropractor he knows, Dr. Marty Manzo in Manasquan. At the present time I am still going to see Dr. Marty, even though his office is about twenty minutes from my home. This is because when I leave I always feel much better! To help me relax, he massages certain areas of my back and neck before the actual adjustment. During this part of the visit we converse, and useful information is exchanged. His interest in keeping up with the newest techniques and information is apparent. Yet his office is not filled with hi-tech gadgetry from what I can see, and his approach to treatment is straightforward. As with the others, he takes most forms of medical insurance, he heals people of all ages, and has a flexible approach to treatment, always working in concert with the patient. The manner in which his adjustments are performed tends to be even more gentle than the other two doctors, and like them he wraps up with a comprehensive neck manipulation. Martin E. Manzo, DC is at 2640 Highway 70, #5A, Manasquan, NJ 08736. The phone number there is 732-528-5533.
So clearly I recommend all three of these men, whose businesses continue to thrive, to anyone seeking back support in these regions of New Jersey. None of the Doctors push their respective practice as a cure-all for physical ailments, yet all are highly skilled in this approach to total health, the science of chiropractic treatment.
