Time-Saving Breakfast Recipes to Help You Get Through Thanksgiving!
Most of us get super busy during the Thanksgiving holiday. Family visits from out of town, other family to be visited, and it seems there just isn’t enough time during to the day to get everything done. Here are three very easy Thanksgiving breakfast recipes I use that are both delicious and time saving.
Baked Skillet Breakfast
I love this recipe as you can put it all together the night before and simply bake it in the morning. The ingredients are also changeable, so you can make what your family loves best.
Ingredients
1 bag frozen hash browns
1 dozen eggs
1 tube of sausage or the meat of your choice
2 cups shredded cheese
Preheat oven to 400F.
In a large skillet thoroughly cook the meat you wish to use for your breakfast, whether it be bacon, sausage or goetta. Drain grease.
Spread the hash browns into an 8 ½ x 13 baking dish.
Place the cooked breakfast meats over the hash browns.
Whisk together all of the eggs and pour mixture on top.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for approximately 30 minutes. Remove from oven and top with shredded cheese. Cook until cheese is melted and eggs are cooked through.
Cinnamon Vanilla Overnight Baked French Toast
I love that this recipe can be made a day in advance! You can substitute the cinnamon vanilla flavors, instead making this with fresh fruit. Either way, it is a fantastic dish.
Ingredients
½ Cup butter
½ Cup granulated sugar
½ Cup cinnamon vanilla sugar
12 Slices bread
6 Large eggs
1 ½ Cup milk
½ teaspoon cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350F.
Melt butter in an 8 ½ x 13 inch baking dish. Stir in both the granulated and cinnamon vanilla sugar.
Layer the bread 2 slices deep.
Whisk eggs and milk, pour over the bread in baking dish.
Place I refrigerator overnight.
Bake 45-50 minutes or until bread is browned. Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon and serve with your favorite syrup.
Casserole Muffins
These are also very simple and can even be taken on the go when you’re pressed for time.
Ingredients
2 Pieces of bread broken into smaller pieces
1 Cup shredded cheese
8 Eggs
Breakfast meat of your choice
1-2 Tablespoons of parsley
1 Teaspoon ground pepper
1 Teaspoon ground mustard
Preheat oven to 400F. Grease your muffin tins.
Drop the small pieces of bread into each tin until half full.
Sprinkle 1 Tablespoon of cheese into each tin.
Whisk together eggs, parsley, pepper and mustard. Pour mixture into each tin.
Sprinkle more cheese on top.
Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through the middle. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
