Tips to Getting a Great Psychic Reading
If you have never been to a psychic, it is an interesting experience. I have heard that the top psychics have an accuracy of about 80 to 85%. No psychic is ever 100% accurate. But seeing a psychic, with the right attitude, can be a very positive and healing experience.
But seeing a psychic can be expensive. An hour’s reading can cost $75 – $125 on the average. So how can you make the most of it? Here are some suggestions to get the best reading possible.
1. Before the reading, get information about the psychic.
There are plenty of good psychics out there – but some specialize in financial issues, others specialize in relationships. There are some that use tarot cards to do readings, others that don’t use any physical tools to connect to psychic energy. You want to find the reader that is going to do the type of reading that you want and you want to be sure that you understand what type of tools they will be using. Who you feel you connect with personality-wise is important when choosing a psychic. So trust your own intuition about who you feel you would enjoy speaking with. Someone serious? Someone funny? Someone empathetic?
2. Ask friends or family members if they have seen a psychic they like
Often a good way to find a psychic is to ask friends or family if they have a psychic they have enjoyed seeing, especially if someone has a psychic they have been seeing for a very long time. Probably the best psychic reading I have had was from a man who reads for a friend of mine, and he has been reading for her for more than fifteen years.
3. Ask if you can tape record the reading or take notes
Some psychics will allow you to tape record a reading, others do not permit this. Be sure to check in advance. But having some sort of record of the reading – even if it is some hand written notes that you take, will be very helpful in retaining the reading so you can go back and re-read the information in the weeks or months to come. Sometimes a psychic will say something in a reading that does not totally make sense at the time, but will come very clear six months from the reading time.
I saw a psychic more than eight years ago who I thought was extremely good. She picked up on a lot of information about me that was accurate. She gave me some interesting information regarding my career that is still happening. I am very glad that I wrote down notes from my reading from her and kept them in a safe place, because she has been pretty much on target.
4. Write down the questions you want to ask ahead of time
The reading is your time to ask the questions that you have. Many psychics will encourage you to come with prepared questions ahead of time that you would like to focus on. Sometimes a question that you ask will lead to other questions. But having a list of questions will help you leave with a feeling of focusing on the issues that are important to you so that the reading is of the most value to you.
5. Save your reading in a place where you can re-read it later
Put your reading in a desk drawer, somewhere private that you can access it at your convenience. Most psychic readings will often cover at least the coming year, sometimes they will cover even a five year period. Occasionally re-reading or listening to a reading is a great way to check how accurate someone is for you, to see if you want to make another appointment with them for a future reading!
