Top 5 Places to Go If You Are Visiting New Jersey

The Jersey Shore… Probably the most visited attraction in New Jersey… I have lived in New Jersey my whole life, and I enjoy living here. I go to the shore every summer, and there is always something to do. New Jersey also has two fairs that are probably the biggest in the USA. The Sussex County Fair, and the Meadowlands Fair. The Sussex County fair is known for it’s petting zoo, and the Meadowlands Fair is known for it’s rides, and entertainment. While they are both very huge, the Meadowlands Fair is the largest traveling fair in the world. If you are a fireworks lover, you will enjoy the Red Bank Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular, which is on July 3rd normally. Red Bank is New Jersey’s top Fourth of July Fireworks Show. If you are into Fireworks than the Mount Carmel Society in Berkeley Heights New Jersey is a must see. The Santore Family, who is one of the top Fireworks Producers in the world runs the Spectacular, and the Mount Carmel Fireworks is the best overall Fireworks display in the State of New Jersey. With fair, fireworks, casinos, and shores, New Jersey is sure to be a place you will love and enjoy!

5. Six Flags Great Adventure – Jackson NJ.

We had to put this on this because, it is just too great! Six Flags theme parks are all throughout the USA, but when you come to the one in NJ, expect to have a great time. Even though there are always thousands and thousands of people there daily, and long lines. You can expect to have a fun time. Many of the lines have DJ’s playing music to flow the traffic more freely. If you have ever been to a top notch theme park, Six Flags is probably the best theme park in the USA. If you are coming to NJ, Jackson is definitely a sure stop for any family wanting to have a great time.

4. Meadowlands Sports Complex – East Ruthorford NJ.

This Sports Complex has it all. If you are into horse racing and gambling, or if you are just into having a good time at there track side dining or Pegasus( a more fancy, and casual type restaurant), then the Meadowlands Race Track is a good decision for you. The Racetrack is the biggest in New Jersey, and probably the most well known in the USA. There is an outside section of the Meadowlands, that features tellers for betting, a bar, food, and tables. You can watch the races up close, and enjoy a nice summer night while watching the ponies run. If you aren’t into gambling you can still have a good time. There is plenty to do at the Racetrack, and why not bring the whole family along to enjoy it with you. Not only is there a Racetrack at the Meadowlands, but there is a football stadium known as Giants Stadium, and the Arena, known as Continental Airlines Arena, which is home to the NJ Nets, and the NJ Devils. At Giants Stadium you can enjoy Jets, and Giants games, along with Soccer, and many many concerts, etc. Overall there is always something to do at the Meadowlands Sports Complex, so go and have a great time in East Rutherford NJ!

3. Long Beach Island NJ.

This is a must visit place in NJ. While this is still a part of NJ, it is a small island off the coast of NJ. Crossing a bridge is all it takes to get you hear, but it sure is a nice stay. Whether you are into Bird Watching, Beach Going, or Cruises, and Cultural Activities, LBI is your choice of stay. Bird Lovers will enjoy a nice view at the Barneget Lighthouse in LBI, which is only a smidge of what LBI has to offer. Beach Lovers can enjoy fun filled shores, with the ocean only a few feet down. If you aren’t into the Ocean you can enjoy the warmth of the Bay, where many people go if the Ocean is either too chilly, or if they want a calmer ride. Boaters can enjoy the Bay and Ocean as well. There are always Cruises going on in LBI also, so if you are into boating with friends and family, then this would be a great possibility for you. LBI has many restaurants, and diners, so you can always find some place to eat without long lines. If you want to relax and enjoy a nice movie, there are plenty of movie theaters in LBI also, so whatever you are into LBI offers top notch entertainment, and great beaches all for affordable prices.

2. Wildwood NJ.

The Coup De Grace of all Attractions in NJ. This is probably the Number One spot to visit if you are planning a vacation in NJ. Wildwood has everything, beaches, cultural events, boardwalks, fun fun fun! I visit Wildwood NJ every summer, and it just gets better and better. During off peak season only 5,400 people live in Wildwood NJ. But once Summer time comes along, you can expect over 250,000 people. During the summer from July 12th to August 23rd you can enjoy Fireworks by the ocean at 11 PM. Lifeguards fill the beaches so there aren’t any problems in the water, so Beach Lovers shouldn’t have any problems in the ocean or on the beach. Wildwood is probably known for it’s boardwalk, as it is the biggest in NJ. Morey’s Pier which it is called is the name of the boardwalk, and it has numerous piers all serving fun entertainment, including rides, games, and food. There are always Hotels, and Motels available, with a huge selection to choose from. If you like a hotel or motel close to the beach, or a little away from the beach they have them, so everyone is in store for something they will enjoy. Wildwood is NJ’s number one vacation spot, so why not bring the family along and enjoy some great entertainment.

1. Atlantic City NJ.

When you think of Atlantic City, you automatically think of Casinos. That is correct, while Atlantic City might be filled with Casinos, there is still much more to do. Atlantic City offers hotels, and boardwalks for the entire family, while the serious gambler enjoys a nice night, or nights at a casino. Casinos in Atlantic City offer games such as Craps, Blackjack, Roulette, Multiple Types of Poker, and much much more. Texas Hold Em has taken the world by storm, so there are always tournaments being played at every casino in Atlantic City. Many Professional Poker Players are always at the Casinos in AC. Concerts, and fancy restaurants also fill the Casinos with a fun filled evening of entertainment and luxury. If the whole family goes, they will enjoy the long fun filled beaches, the boardwalk, and the games that fill the boardwalk. Hotels have great room service, and television with every channel available. AC is a definite vacation spot for the family, and gambler.
