The Trace Adkins Concert, held on Saturday, May 28, 2006 at Coushatta Casino Resort, Kinder, LA., was everything any Trace Adkins fan, or just a country music fan, could have wished for. The lights went down, the announcer came on introducing Trace and then the stage and the crowd came alive when the lights came back up and there stood Trace.

From that moment on, it was about an hour and a half of nothing but Trace. He pleased the crowd with his hit country songs as well as a few new songs that will be on his next album, “Dangerous”, set for release August 1. This new album is sure to be another great fan-pleaser if the songs he sang from it are any indication of the rest of the album.

From “Songs About Me” to ending with “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk” Trace Adkins had the crowd on their feet, cheering and singing along, as well as several in the back dancing to his music. The crowd fell quiet though when he began “Arlington” which was most appropriate considering this concert was held Memorial Day Weekend. But the crowd did not stay silent long, as he finished this great song, the crowd was on their feet once again, in appreciation for his tribute to the troops.

He also pleased the crowd with “Swing”, “Hot Mama”, “Rough & Ready”, “I’m Trying”, “Every Light in the House” and “I Left Something Turned on at Home”, plus several more songs off his many CDs. After singing “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk” he ended the concert and left the stage, only to return for an encore of “Chrome”, totally delighting the crowd once again. The fans making up the crowd in the Pavilion at Coushatta Casino Resort were not anywhere close to being disappointed with his performance during the night.

This concert in Southwest Louisiana was all about Trace Adkins and his music, old and new, there was no opening band and no closing band, just Trace. Trace came to please his fans, young and old, from Grandparents to little children and everyone in-between, and he did just that. The concert began and ended with nothing but Trace Adkins and his fans loved every minute of it. So, if you are looking for good country music along with a top entertainer, go see a Trace Adkins concert the next time one comes to your area; you will not be disappointed.
