Travel to Cancun, Mexico

One very hot tourist spot is back in full swing and ready for your visit, Cancun, Mexico. This is a good vacation destination for all members of the family. The city offers Mayan Ruins that the kids can explore, many ecological parks, swimming, fishing, scuba diving, and for the male in the group, golf.

Exploring the Mayan Ruins would be a good educational outing for children of all ages. They are over one thousand years old, and there are several different sites to be explored. There are also guided tours available, which can help you to navigate the sites easier, especially if it is an unfamiliar place for you.

There are many ecological parks to visit, many of these in a jungle type setting. Like visiting the Mayan Ruins, the ecological parks provide family fun and educational opportunities for all ages. Garrafon Natural Park offers good views of coral reefs, as well as the massive cliffs on the island. Xcaret is an archaeological park that offers a lot of valuable insight as to the Mayan and Mexican cultures and heritage. There are also many different animals to learn about as well. If you are into aquariums, you should definitely visit Xelha Natural Aquarium. You get to explore ancient caves, and lagoons, seeing many different types of aquatic species along the way.

A big animal attraction in Cancun of course is the dolphins. Many of the ecological parks previously discussed offer programs that let you swim with the dolphins. They have created dolphin habitats much like the ocean, and you can enjoy them in a habitat that is similar to their own. They also offer programs for children that are too small to swim with the dolphins. These usually last about thirty minutes, during which time they get to feed and play with the dolphins. Some parks also offer dolphin encounter programs, that let you get used to the dolphin and learn all about the species.

For the fisherman, Cancun also offers fishing charters. You can choose the length of time you want to charter the boat for, usually ranging from four to eight hours. Most of these charters are all inclusive, offering food, beverages, fishing equipment and bait, lunch, fishing license and taxes. Cancun also offers fly-fishing and sport fishing.

Scuba Cancun offers dives for certified scuba divers. Usually, you will get to dive up to eighteen different coral reefs, going an average of fifty feet deep. This is an all inclusive offer as well, covering your equipment, lunch, transportation, and snacks. Manta Divers offers similar trips, but also offers scuba and snorkeling courses as well, from introductory to expert refresher courses.

Cancun also offers several golf courses, malls, clubs, and restaurants for your entertainment purposes. Many of the hotels are sited along the main thoroughfare, offering easy access to all the major Cancun tourists sites. Whether you decide to take guided tours, or just relax on the beach, Cancun will definitely be a worthwhile and memorable trip for the entire family.
