Typhoon Creme Brulee Set Review
The Typhoon Creme Brulee Set arrived in a timely manner (so far, so good) and after a few days (I was too lazy to give it an immediately whirl), I decided to give it a try. I liked the torch’s design and it really made me feel like a chef. It took me some time to figure out how everything worked (I don’t know if this is a result of poor product design or my natural ineptness) but after a few attempts, I was able to re-create that crispy shell on my creme brulee. At least, that is what my family told me.
The flame of the torch is indeed fully adjustable so I can see how you can use the Typhoon Creme Brulee Set for other things aside from creme brulee. The description said it is also good for browning meat, meringues and roasting peppers. I am sure the Typhoon Creme Brulee Set would be up to those tasks. If it functions well as a torch, there shouldn’t be a problem.
Right now, I am really pleased with the Typhoon Creme Brulee Set since it does the job, but I do have a few concerns because it doesn’t feel sturdy enough. In other words, I have my doubts if it would last longer than a few months. It does carry a one-year limited warranty so that allays my fears a little bit. Furthermore, it really isn’t too expensive so I really shouldn’t worry too much about it.
I haven’t put the Typhoon Creme Brulee to other use but so far, I am pretty sure it will perform well. I would highly recommend this to weekend chefs or those who love entertaining. I am not sure if the Typhoon Creme Brulee Set can be effective in a more commercial environment (I really have concerns about its shelf life and durability), but over-all, I think this is a good purchase.
