Update Your Bathroom for Under $100
First off remove all your items from your bathroom and start fresh. Everything should be throughly cleaned as well. For a few dollars you can repaint your bathroom, brighter or nuetral colors brighten up small spaces. You could also buy or reuse a matching bath rug and then add your towels and wash clothes in matching patterns or designs. You could even add a border if you would like or consider making your own with a stencil. A new shower curtain also can make a big difference.
If you were lacking storage space for your makeup, hairdryer, or medicine, now would be a good time to purchase some storage organizing containers or shelves to keep things nice and neat. Keeping the clutter minimized is always a good thing, go through your old makeup and medicine and toss out the stuff that has expired. Or if you haven’t used something in a while considering finding it a new home. There are also some great decorative storage containers for things like cottonballs or q-tips that can be placed on your countertop or on top of the toilet.
You could also add a mirror to make things look bigger or add a few pictures to add some interest. Candles also can make for a relaxing bubble bath. If it is a guest bath that you are updating you can add a basket of things that your guest might need, such as soap, advil, bubble bath, or anything you would like to add to make them feel more at home.
To save money when buying accessories consider checking out the dollar stores, they usually have great candles and bath accesories. Or even if you were making a themed bathroom you can find some great things if you get a little creative. Sometimes they even have the linoleum tiles that you stick to the floor if you would like to update your flooring. If you do it right you can make even the cheapest things look like they are really expensive. The more stuff you do yourself the more money you can save.
A little paint and a few accessories can make a world of difference. Try to have a plan before you start and consider the main things that you want to accomplish. Make sure you check things that are on sale or discounted to get the best possible prices. Outlet stores like Big Lots or Ollies have really good prices on things that are overstocked or discontinued. Even regular stores have clearance and sales so you just have to take the time to check out your options.
