Walgreens Rebates

I like getting something for nothing. If I have to pay for it, I want the best deal possible. One of the best deals around can be found at Walgreens.

Not only do they have more than reasonable prices and constant sales, they have a generous rebate program. Pick up an EasySaver Catalog at any Walgreens or log onto walgreens.com and you’ll see what I mean. This month they are offering four products completely free after rebate: shampoo, deodorant, lipstick, and a children’s toothbrush.

It works on a monthly basis. For example, the form and all the receipts for the current rebate is due to be post-marked no later than March 4. That way, they only have to send out 1 check per month. You can even track your rebate online although I have found Walgreens to be the fastest rebate I’ve ever received.

What’s more, if you elect to receive your rebate on a gift card instead of receiving a check in the mail, Walgreens will add 10% to your total rebate. It’s a fun way to get free products. I like to let the amount on the gift card accumulate and then use it around holidays.

Another great way to use the Walgreens rebates is at “back to school time.” They always have several rebates offered on school supplies. Even if you don’t have kids, it’s an entirely free way to contribute to those who do.

You can simply buy the school supplies that are offered as rebate items, donate them to a family or organization, then recoup your investment via the rebate. They don’t rebate the sales tax of course but that’s a minimal price to pay for such a worthy investment.
