People of many faiths agree that prayer is a powerful tool. It can also be so helpful to feel supported, and to pray about your concerns with others and to know that they will be praying for you. Studies have been done that say that not only does praying for someone else help them, that praying for them even when they do not know you are praying for them can still be helpful to them.

There are quite a number of online prayer request websites where you can submit your prayers and people will pray for you. Some offer 1-800 telephone numbers that you can telephone and pray directly with a person. Some churches or spiritual centers will continue praying for you for a period of time after you have sent in your prayers. Others post your prayers so that other people can read them and they can pray for you. Visit the websites to learn more about the organizations and their specific services offered. At some you can even offer to pray for other people.

Silent Unity
This organization has both a website and a prayer telephone line. You can reach them at 1-800-NOWPRAY. The prayer hotline is open seven days a week, twenty four hours a day.

Virtual Jerusalem
When you send a prayer into this website they are written on pieces of paper and then they are placed into cracks in the Western Wall at Jerusalem.

Daily Guideposts
You can pray with this organization at their website or by telephone. Reach them by telephone at 1-800-204-3772, Monday through Friday from 7am through 10pm EST.

Universal Life Church
This link will take you directly to their prayer submission form. Prayers will be posted so that others may pray for you. Remember that your prayer will be posted as you send in your request – be sure not to send in personal information or anything not appropriate for public posting. There is also the option to send a private message to the pastor by clicking another button.

The International Prayer Network
Prayers submitted will be forwarded to their prayer volunteer chain around the world. Your prayer request will also be posted publicly.

St. Anthony Shrine
This submission form will send your prayers and post them on a screen that scrolls next to St. Anthony’s relic at the National Shrine of Padua in Cincinnati, Ohio. They will also be posted on the prayer request board. They suggest posters read their prayer request guidelines.

National Prayer Center
That national Prayer Center is run by the Assemblies of God headquartered in Springfield, Missouri. The have a prayer hotline you can call 1-800-4-PRAYER that is open seven days a week, twenty four hours a day.
