On that special day it will be your memory�so it should be the way you want it. Most women like to go traditional from the year of planning to the long white flowing dress, but, no one said you have to. If you feel as though you are unique and wish for your creativity to shine through on your wedding day, more power to you.

Your intro to your wedding should be spectacular traditionally; the bride is stunningly gorgeous and walks down the isle of a church to her awaiting groom. However, there are many other alternatives that you can make up as you go along.

For instance, if you are having a wedding outside you can show up on a horse, on a motorcycle etc. Your entrance should be all your own if you choose not to be traditional and embrace an alternative.

The attire is extremely important because pictures are usually taken constantly until the ceremony is over and you want yourself and your wedding party to look their best. If you do not want to wear white or something that is long and tightly fitted you can always choose a more conservative alternative. Designing your wedding gown can be a real treat when you add many of the things that define your personality in the choices.

Traditionally the music is played at the reception for the dance between bride and groom and the bride and her father�and usually goes on for hours. So, you should choose a kind of music that everybody can agree on. If you want to go with an alternative, one would be to have karaoke. This gives a way for all your friends and family to get involved and have a great time on your wedding day.

As tradition has it churches are still the way to go. But again, if you want an alternative to make your day a little more memorable there are other avenues you can do. Such as, getting married at the place you met. Or, on top of the tallest building or even out at sea. No matter the choice remember that it is up to you. Don’t let your friends pull you into one decision or another because it is not their day, it is your day.

Theme weddings are huge! And by this I do not mean a Wizard of Oz theme or a pirate theme; as you get older the chances of you looking back at what was supposed to be the best day of your life you can end up feeling as though you were way too young to make a grown up decision. Regrets are never a good thing when it comes to your wedding day.

A good theme to have is one that surrounds your favorite holiday such as Valentines Day, Christmas, etc. The decorations are endless and usually very cheap. The ides for this alternative to the traditional wedding are abundant. The symbolic nature that links your wedding to specific holidays can give a deeper sense of commitment and joy to last a lifetime.
