What is Missing in Your Life?

We struggle daily to try and find balance. We play many roles in our day to day lives. At the end of the day, do you feel complete? Do you feel a sense of happiness and contentment deep within?

If you are like most of us, at the end of the day you feel spent as you drop into bed, already thinking of all that needs to be done tomorrow, and worrying over all the tasks that went unfinished today.

For a lot of women, we feel a deep sense that something is missing from our lives. We feel disconnected from ourselves, and even our loved ones. We rush through each day, only to go to bed, wake up and do it all over again.

In our minds, as we strive for perfection, we feel inadequate and at a loss as to how to compete with the idea of “Super Mom”âÂ?¦and in the end feel like we have failed ourselves and our families.

The truth is, we have to accept who we are, and offer ourselves the unconditional love we so freely give to our loved ones. If you feel like something is missing in your life, it is definitely time for a change.

Start by thinking about what is working in your life. What areas of your life do you feel the most satisfied? Only then will you be able to take a long, hard, and honest look at what is not working.

Are you trying to juggle too many responsibilities? Then you need to practice the art of saying no. Of course, there are always things in our lives that must be done, and constantly need our attention. What could you let go of for now, how could you ease some of the pressure and burdens you face daily?

Prioritize your life. The fact of the matter is, even though we do what needs to be done in caring for our families, we tend to get so busy and distracted, and in such a hurry to get to the next task, that we fail to enjoy the present moment.

We deserve to enjoy our lives to the fullest. We deserve the right to hold our little one in our arms after bath time and take in their sweet scent. It’s the little things that make the best memories. In our busy lives, we have to try and make time, and make changes so that we are able to enjoy the gifts life has to offer. Life passes so quickly, and our little ones grow up soon enough.

When you look back on your life, will you look back with a sense of regret at all the joys you missed out on because you were so busy just getting through each day? Or will you look back with a sense of pride and contentment, that you reached a point and a realization as to what was important, what was missing, and found the courage and strength to do something about it? Everyday you are making memories. Make it a priority in your life, to enjoy the moments as they happen, and be grateful for life’s blessings. This could very well be one of the keys to your own happiness, and this could be what is missing from your life. You can make it happenâÂ?¦.nowâÂ?¦.today.

Start building the life you’ve always wanted, and stop putting your needs, your desires, and your quest for happiness at the bottom of your “To Do” list.
