The Lodge at Sherwood Village is a sight to see. This log building facility is reminiscent of a ski lodge. The grounds are impeccable and professionally maintained. There is ample parking. The facility itself is newer and very eye appealing.

It is known as “The Ultimate in Luxurious Retirement Living.” Once stepping inside the facility, it is easy to see why. The interior is awe-inspiring. Shellacked wood, wide-open entryways, and a large lobby make for a comforting environment. In all, it is a joy to be in this facility. There is even an espresso shop in the lobby area.

The staff has been very helpful and friendly the times I have been here. There is a sense of genuine caring between the staff and residents.

The dining area is bright and airy. And, it serves professionally prepared cuisine.

Another facility located in Sequim is known as Dungeness Courte. This facility is a one-story building that houses Alzheimer’s residents. The building is white and standard ranch-style architecture. The location is easy to find, with good street signage. I have never had problems finding a parking space here. There is a single strip parking lot that is located in the front of the building.

I have seen strong interaction between staff members and residents here. The Activity Director does a great job at keeping residents active.

The grounds are professionally landscaped and maintained. The signage is good.
