Why Apartment Complex Laundromats are Unsanitary!

Many people may not realize it, but most laundry facilities that are located within an apartment complex happen to be some of the most unsanitary around. Unfortunately this is because people just don’t take the time to properly care for their stuff. You may think that since your items are in a washing machine that you really have nothing to worry about when it comes to germs. Well you really should take the time to properly disinfect both the inside and the outside of the washing machine prior to placing each load into the machine. Unfortunately most people don’t take the time to make sure that their items are washed out properly.

Keep in mind also that most people are not as clean as you may be. It is especially important to make sure that you thoroughly wipe out the dryers. This is where your clothes can actually end up getting pretty bad stains on them, simply because people failed to take the time to make sure that they had not items left in their pockets. Usually all it takes it just one pen left in a pocket to suddenly explode during the drying process and then suddenly you find that your clothes are all stained because of what someone else happened to leave in the dryer. Some people have even reported finding roaches and other bugs mixed in with their clothes after using the laundry facilities at an apartment complex.

If you want to make sure that your clothes get as clean as possible, then you should try to do your laundry as soon as they open up. This would give you the opportunity to wipe out the machines thoroughly before using them. Make sure that you also clean out any and all of the lint traps. Sometimes small little bed bugs can get stuck in the lint traps, especially when people fail to clean them out properly. Usually if you purchase a disinfectant spray like Lysol you can spray the lint trap after you have removed it and emptied it out. This will help to kill any germs and or bugs that may still be stuck in there. Unfortunately for those who live in the apartment complexes the management could really care less about your clothes. Studies have even been conducted on apartment complex laundry facilities and public laundry facilities that are privately owned. Research proved without a shadow of a doubt that the public facilities that are privately owned are cleaner. The reason is because the people who actually own these Laundromats take the time to clean them or hire someone to thoroughly clean out each machine and just keep the place clean in general. So the bottom line is that when it comes to getting your laundry clean it may be in your best interest to use a public privately owned place instead of the one located within your apartment complex.
